How to Prepare Print-Ready Artwork

Get your files ready for custom packaging printing.

Quick answer

Send vector artwork where possible, keep text and logos clear of folds and edges, and tell us about any special finishes.

01. Accepted files

The quote form accepts PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, PNG and JPG files up to 10 MB. Vector files (PDF, AI, EPS, SVG) give the sharpest print.

02. Use the dieline

Your artwork is placed on a flat template of the box called a dieline. Our team confirms the dieline, bleed and safe areas for your structure.

03. Colours

Tell us if you have brand colours that must match. Screen colours can look different in print, so a proof is checked before production.

04. Text and logos

Keep important text and logos away from folds, glue areas and edges. Convert fonts to outlines or include them with your files.

05. Finishes

If you want foil, embossing or spot UV, put those areas on a separate layer so they can be produced correctly.

Practical checklist

  • Vector file where possible
  • Brand colours noted
  • Text away from folds
  • Fonts outlined
  • Finish areas on separate layer
